On October 13, the Patriot Work Night Campaign Crunch
is set to
prepare for the final days of the election.
Location: County Administration building, 20 S. 2nd St.,
Newark. 7pm social; 7:30pm program. November 8 is Election day. In December, we will be having a Christmas party.
With the exception of June, between April and October,
we have nothing planned other than working on the campaigns, doing the usual
grassroots efforts to get our local Republican candidates elected. One thing we
would like to propose is a summer trip to Washington, D.C. with a tour of the
Capitol Building, Washington Mall, National Archives, Smithsonian, Pentagon, and
the White House.
We plan to show the documentary "Confronting Iraq" and
a
movie (Phone Booth, Minority Report, Braveheart, The Patriot, or Independence Day)
at some point in the near future.
We also still want to collect items to send to the children
affected by the Tsunami and also care packages to the troops. Plus, we would
like to bring guest speaker Michael Wilson to campus. Mike Wilson is the
author and director of the book and documentary "Michael Moore Hates America."
We would like to show his documentary beforehand. Any other
suggestions for activities are always welcome and greatly appreciated.
